In Spanish, the term vara refers in several respects to the pastoral tradition. Used to designate the shepherd's crook, this word is also the unit of measurement for the width of transhumance routes. The term was therefore a natural fit for Wooldreamers's latest yarn, 90 Varas, whose wool comes from transhumant merino sheep flocks.
