Alva (Filcolana) is a yarn made entirely of alpaca fibers. In lace weight, it is a good alternative to mohair and silk yarns for people sensitive to mohair or simply if you want a less "hairy" and airy finish. And for a 100% alpaca version, you can certainly hold the yarn double.
