Cadence is a top-down, in-the-round jacquard sweater pattern. It's a rhythmic project, including a succession of varied motifs in magnificent colors. Crosses, arrows, triangles, stripes – in short, as fun to knit as it is to wear! It's a nod to the bold jacquards of the 80s, revisited in a modern and flattering shape. It is knitted in one piece, starting from the collar and gradually increasing the number of stitches to form the shoulders. The work is then separated to form the body and then the sleeves. Optional short rows are offered to raise the back neck and lower the back hem.

Ease: This sweater is designed to be worn loose, with approximately 20 cm (8 inches) of positive ease. The neckline is relaxed and wide, but the pattern provides instructions for a tighter neckline. The yoke is shallow. Knit one size down from your usual size if you want a more fitted look. The sleeves are narrower to balance the silhouette.

Materials (not included in the kit):
80 cm (32") circular needles in 2.25 mm (US 1) for the body ribbing
2.25 mm (US 1) double-pointed needles or circular needles of an appropriate diameter for the cuff ribbing
80 cm (32") circular needles in 2.75 mm (US 2) for the main body fabric
40 cm (16") circular needles for the top of the yoke (optional, you can use 80 cm (32") needles with the magic loop method)
2.75 mm (US 2) double-pointed needles or circular needles of an appropriate diameter for the sleeves
stitch markers
2 extra cables (or scrap yarn) to hold stitches
