Composed of baby alpaca and silk, Silkpaca by Malabrigo is an incredibly soft yarn! The alpaca gives a slight halo to this subtly silky two-ply yarn. Although it is very fine (lace weight), it adapts to many gauges and reveals its full beauty with lace projects.
Composition: 70% baby alpaca, 30% silk

Recommended needles: 2 - 3.5 mm
Recommended hook: 3.25 - 5 mm
Care: hand wash in cold water, do not tumble dry, lay flat to dry

Note: Malabrigo yarns are dyed by a team of artisans. Although the dyeing formula for a colorway is identical for each dye lot, skeins can be very different from each other, even within the same lot. This is why skeins do not have a dye lot number. Due to this characteristic, the brand recommends making sure to get enough yarn for each project, and to alternate skeins every row to ensure a harmonious color distribution.
